Web and Mobile Prototype

About the Project

This UI redesign project aimed to help new and previous “Future Funds” users navigate the site in a manner they are most comfortable with and gain more traction with younger audiences looking to advance their financial well-being.

To achieve a successful product, there had to be a user-centric approach. I needed to understand the users' intent in accessing the site, what they were looking for specifically, and what could make their journey through the site easier and more enjoyable. Usability and A/B testing were conducted as an imperative step to the effectiveness of this design.

Usability Testing: Observing individuals as they interact with a product to assess ease of use, effectiveness, and overall satisfaction.

A/B Testing: Comparing two versions of a webpage or app to determine which performs better.

Before Launch

Implemented web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) to support inclusive design, including alt text, semantic markup, and color contrast compliance.

To provide a modern and up-to-date feel, the principles of back doors, multi-class navigational systems, and responsive design were implemented to ensure the site can be accessed on multiple devices, so users would have the same pleasant experience whether they accessed the site from an adjacent page or the home page.

Digital kiosk prototype

About The Project

The Bowlsome Smoothie kiosk prototype project. Its goal is to elevate the customer experience by providing a self-service alternative, effectively minimizing wait times and improving customer satisfaction. A kiosk solution will enable users to place orders for personalized smoothie bowls conveniently and more accurately, reducing the chance of miscommunication.

  • The primary objective of Bowlsome Smoothie is to enhance the overall customer experience by offering a self-service option through the smoothie bowl kiosk. This will reduce waiting times and allow customers to order their customized smoothie bowls quickly and easily. The client wants the kiosk to provide customers with a wide range of customization options. Customers should be able to select the size of their smoothie bowl, choose from a variety of ingredients, add-ins, and toppings, and have the flexibility to create their own unique combinations.

  • The use case scenario for the Bowlsome Smoothie project is as follows:

    1. Begin by selecting the size of your bowl: small, medium, large.

    2.  Then, select the following fruits for your bowl: strawberries, bananas, pineapple, and blueberries.

    3.  Next, add coconut flakes and granola as toppings.

    4.  Add the bowl to your cart.

    5.  Navigate to the checkout.

    6.  Pay for the order with a credit card using the attached card swiper; there is no need to enter card details.

    7.  Print receipt and end the transaction.

  • The primary objective of the Bowlsome Smoothie kiosk is to enhance the customer experience by offering a self-service option, reducing waiting times, and allowing customers to order customized smoothie bowls efficiently. The kiosk provides a wide range of customization options, enabling customers to select bowl sizes, choose from various ingredients, add-ins, and toppings, and create unique combinations. Using atomic design methodology, I provided the client with reusable templates and assets, ensuring consistency and eliminating errors in colors, text, icons, form fields, and layouts. This method is especially beneficial if the design evolves into a website or mobile app, as it allows for seamless adaptation. The atomic design approach facilitates efficient collaboration among designers and maintains consistency across the brand's platforms, ultimately meeting professional expectations through iterative refinement.

  • Overtime the atomic design method will provide to be useful for new designers working on the product development and eliminate unnecessary errors in colors, text, icons, form fields, and layouts. Atomic design enables designers to have a more efficient collaboration with each other throughout the project and ensures consistency across evolving brand platforms.
